The people at Skidaway Institute are all wet – or at least involved with wetness.

Skidaway Institute of Oceanography is a research institute situated on a 700-acre campus on Skidaway Island, 16 miles southeast of Savannah. The institute sits on the banks of the Skidaway River and was created in 1967 to conduct research in all fields of oceanography and marine sciences.

Scientists can easily access the coastal and ocean waters from the institute. Staff and visiting scientists can also study diverse habitats such as estuaries, marshes and barrier islands.
