The Savannah businessman has built Savannah Bee Co. from a home-based enterprise into a national brand in just seven years. As a result, Dennard’s company was selected as the 2007 Small Business of the Year in Georgia, as proclaimed by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Savannah Bee has 16 employees and operates out of a small warehouse in Savannah. Revenues hit $2 million in 2007. The honey is sold in more than 1,700 specialty stores, including Williams-Sonoma and Neiman Marcus. Visit www.savannahbee.com.
